Facebook has added the long awaited GIF feature to the comment tab. The feature is available globally across all platforms and devices supporting GIF. The  GIF enthusiasts now can be able to comment using GIF. The feature also allows to search and comment with your GIF on the status of a friend or a page. The GIF support is on the same line next to emoji. Facebook reached this mile stone when GIF was celebrating it's 30th anniversary. The GIF has Giphy studio's prominent faces around the internet, wishing GIFs like  birthday wishes and among others. Facebook now joins the footing of  messenger who rolled out the the GIF  feature to it's users  back in 2015. According to the statistics over 13 billion GIFs were sent last year. One of the days to remember  in history is 12/05/2017, on that day the world cried fowl to cyber attack known as ransomware wannacry. In that  incident more than 200,000 computers were encrypted from more than 150countries. Windows OS was affected most since most companies were using the obsolete Windows  XP. Though Microsoft had stopped updates for WindowsXP, it has released the security patches for WindowsXP alongside other regular updates to cater for other Windows versions.  In this case, users of WindowsXP are required to download and install the security patches to ensure safety against attacks. The download is available in two options, you can use Microsoft download center( here ) or update catalog.  For those using Windows 8.1 or 10 supporting  auto update don't need to bother to take any action. During the keynote at the Google I/O conference 2017, the company rolled out Google Assistant . The App is available for download from the Apple App Store. The app (Google Assistant)  features search engine and slick design. Some iOS embraced the Assistant because of their mixed reactions with Siri and hope Google Assistant can change the game. This raises questions whether Apple's acquisition of Dark Data and Google's promise of a full stand alone App will make improvements. The world is still mourning the Cyber Attack, this all started on 12/05/2017 when computer networks lost access to their data on computers. According to statistics more than 200,000 computers' (especially Microsoft based) data was encrypted from more than 150 countries. The attack did not spare big organisations, government agencies and private companies including National Health services, Nissan Motor Co and others. Ransomware is a malware (malicious software) designed to target users' data. Once the computer is infected, the user looses access to data (data is encrypted) and  required to pay a specified fee to the perpetrators to decrypt data. According to the recent wanna cry, the victim was required to pay a fee $300 within 72 hours, failure to meet the allocated time, the fee was doubled or you had to loose your data permanently. The attack is said to have been spread through email phising, usually the perpetrators send an email with a malicious link

After the success story of facebook live tv  streaming, the giant social media continues to position it's self as a one stop hub for entertainment and news online. The romours of facebook tv started spreading since December last year, now it's high time it became a reality. Facebook tv show is anticipated in June of this year. According to sources, the giant company will roll out the service on premium basis. The shows will be in two tiers, the shorter ones for low costs and the longer ones for higher budget. The shorter shows are expected to run at an interval of 5-10 minutes and refresh every 24 hours and the long ones between 5-30 minutes.
